General Information
The Dalton Board of Education is a publicly elected body of five members. Each serves a four-year term and receives no pay for this service. Day-to-day operations are directed by the superintendent, Dr. Jim Hawkins.
Board of Education Meetings
The Dalton Board of Education meets in regular session monthly, usually the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are held at Dalton Public Schools' Dalton City Hall, 300 West Waugh Street. The public is welcome to attend these meetings. For agendas, click here.
Persons wishing to bring a matter before the Board will be placed on the agenda in advance of the meeting. Please call the Superintendent's office no later than one week prior to the meeting date to be added to this month's meeting agenda. The number is 706/876-4003, or 706/278-8766.
