Paws the panther holding pumpkin for fall

There are many exciting events to look forward to in October!

On Monday, we will celebrate Georgia Reads Day and go nuts for reading; remember to wear your Georgia gear!

We have some other fun assemblies this week as well, but those require no dress up days!

On Tuesday, we will have a special dance performance courtesy of the O.N. Jonas Foundation, and on Thursday our fourth and fifth graders will enjoy a visit from author Nury Castillo Crawford.

On October 7-8, our fourth and fifth graders will also have the Georgia Fit Test (students should wear tennis shoes on these days), and October 10 student council will have a special in-school retreat alongside our JROTC as they learn American flag etiquette.

Our students will enjoy Fall Break on October 11 and 14, and our DLI students will have a fun parade on October 15.

October 16 is Unity Day and we will wear orange to show that we stand together for kindness and against bullying.

Our Block Party @ the 405 Math Family Night is on October 25 from 5:30-7:30, and picture retakes are also during the school day on October 25.

This same week we will celebrate Safe Schools week and promote healthy life choices with some fun dress up days.

Lastly, our previously scheduled lockdown drill will be rescheduled during this month.
