Dalton, GA — Dalton High School is calling on its proud athletic alumni to help preserve and grow a tradition more than 100 years in the making. Following the successful unveiling of the inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame class on October 29, 2024, the school is launching a fundraising initiative to support the Hall of Fame’s continued success and sustainability.

The Hall of Fame, made possible through the generous support of Engineered Floors and Direct Packaging, honors the legacy of Dalton High’s most accomplished athletes, coaches, and community leaders. Looking ahead, Dalton High plans to induct its second Hall of Fame class in fall 2025, with nominations opening in August.

To support the effort, the school is inviting all former Dalton athletes to contribute a $20 donation. Each donor will be recognized on a special alumni page on the Hall of Fame website, featuring their name, graduation year, and an optional athletic photo. This digital tribute will stand alongside the stories of All-Americans, professional athletes, and standout teams, highlighting the rich history and impact of Dalton athletics.

How to Contribute:

“Every contribution helps us maintain the Hall of Fame, preserve our history, and continue celebrating the excellence of Dalton High athletics,” said Dr. Richards. “This is an opportunity for alumni to reconnect, give back, and be part of something lasting.”

Dalton High encourages the community and former athletes to share this initiative and help spread the word. Together, supporters can ensure that the spirit and legacy of Dalton High athletics continues to inspire generations to come.
