Dear Parents,
We have our first virtual learning day scheduled for November 22. Please review the following expectations and guidelines to help your child succeed during this time. Our goal is to provide meaningful learning while keeping the workload manageable. Teachers will review the assignments and expectations with students ahead of time to ensure they understand what is required.
Students will have assignments for each of their classes. Core content (Math, English, Science and Social Studies) and connections. Each assignment is meant to take 10-20 minutes to complete, so you can expect about two hours.
All assignments will focus on reviewing previously taught content; no new material will be introduced on this day.
Assignments can be paper-based and/or digital using Canvas.
Additionally, we ask that you always encourage independent reading and the review of recently learned topics. Thank you for your partnership in helping our students have a successful virtual learning experience. Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

Winter MAP testing begins Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving break. Come to school ready to test and don't forget to bring your computer and charger to school!

Students at DJHS worked on this art project over the last month. With the help of Paula Gregg and the Creative Arts Guild, they brought to life a lively and colorful display of Alebrijes. The artwork is going to be on display at the Creative Arts Guild for their Día de los Muertos celebration on November 1st from 6 pm-10 pm. If you would like an up-close look at the students' masterpieces, plan to go to the Día de los Muertos celebration! Thank you to Paula and the Creative Arts Guild for working with the students on this project.
